Pretty major engine set back there!, can you still fit in the cab

I'm only a short arse so i'm alright lol, its the ext cab s10 so we have brought the seats back aswell

hi pep's, been busy so haven't got much done but some at least!!

update pics, engine and tranny mounted and cab, made some big washers on cnc lathe to weld to chassis has the plates the cab sits on were rusting through, welded them on top and made some ali spacers aswell, made the engine mounts on the cnc miller

Hi ,just to you people know i have be in contact with a company what are willing to supply me wheel blanks so i can do custom wheels to your design's i will be doing the first pair for the s10 as a show peice

Ill have to set my dad an account up on here then we can put some stuff up about the 101 projects were on with at home. Might take him a while to get used to it, he knows how to go on racing junk and look at stuff on ebay so far. Once hes on here he will be able to check up on how much we have been choppin his old truck up too.

Theres a garden full off projects still.
Does anyone know where we can get some specs for roll cages and tube chassis? Its mainly knowing what size tubing (dia and wall thickness) we need for know because we are wanting to put a full rollcage in the s10, I think its about 42mm dia and 3mm wall mild steel seamless (CDS 2 ?) for rails and main loops but im unsure. Me and Kenny got engine mounted in s10 a couple of weeks ago but after its been back halved and had tubular front end there would only be about 5-6 ft of original chassis so we were thinking maybe just fabricate a full tube chassis, Would this still be ok running in superstock with a full tube chassis? or should we keep as much original chassis as possible? Theres a few cars/trucks at home ill be putting rollcages into aswell, But nothing too fancy in them. Couple of trucks and maybe a car to back half aswell but going to do that in box section.

we have gone a completely U turn with the design of this project lol, we have decided to go with a fully tubed chassis being that we would after put a new diff in anyway and back half it, we have also decided to go with Capri front struts.

i have stripped the engine and have noticed that it is in very condition inside , (theres nothing like a old engine to work on eh? so simple design compared to even tiny Italian engines), i'm going to be honing the block my self to 30 thou over stock for new pistons and surface grind all the sides with gaskets to make sure no warp in the block.

also we have changed to go from twin turbos to a 8-71 supercharger kit basicly because of its going to be a pro street car and we are looking for that reliability, i've seen i want a CR of 8:1 and a good set of heads to get the most outta it can anyone recomend a good set of heads??

can i echo toms question and ask if a full tube chassis can be used in this series?

I think that question is best directed (pm) to either Tim Holmes or Dave Billadeau - rule book doesn't say you can't, but best check with Tim/Dave before you turn up
