Basically the whole thing is scrap,

The block is cream crackered, the cam snapped into 4 pieces, one of the pistons disintegrated,
a conrod punched a hole through the top of the block, heads are knackered etc etc.
Although quite impressively the conrod bent 90 degrees but didnt snap.

Theres a technical term for that amount of damage Andy, But as theres kids reading I won't mention it!
Thats one broken motor! Still, you managed to save the Valve covers........... & the thermostat!
It does illustrate just how thin cylinder walls are though, whats your plans? 426 Hemi? ;)

$hit Boz :o Sorry to hear about your motor. I hope you can get something together soon , theres plenty of Pentastar guys around and of course lots of parts too , but of course you know that.

It maybe an excuse for a HEMI , I must admit I like the idea of a BAE Hemi....

Let me know if i can help at all , $hit happens dude..

Thats a fair mess Boz, i promise i will keep away from the burnout area when your about next time!

The water in the headers was the first bad sign but i wasnt expecting that much carnage. Hope you get it sorted out soon!

Wayne if the engine fairies ever leave you a BAE Hemi i know of a set of frame rails looking for an ally blocked chevy ;)

We're gutted for ya Boz :( :( . I'd take Dave B's advice and fit a rev limiter of some sort, though it's easy to say that in hindsight. Unfortunately breakages of any sort are an occupational hazard once the bug to go faster has bit. Hope you get it sorted soon.
Tig 'n Cath.
PS. Not sure I'd class going to a Hemi as an "upgrade" :geek: ( JMHO of course  )
