My life now has a purpose! Desicions made.
OK so its 12.9's in Sportsman... no gas and a few mods over the winter.
Hope to run high 11's with gas in Hotrod, hopefully good enough for a podium place.

Aim to make every meet camping so its beer and chilli at my tent/van?.

We will certainly make some events with Daddy Cool, mainly depends on if we can lose enough power to get off the startline, not to mention burnout without the tyres wearing half of it. There is a plan to be able to get off the line, all will come out in the new year.

Hi Al,
you haver finally found us
What are you planning? we may have to adopt F1 rules (ban any new ideas)
You may have another Dragster to run with next season. I was contacted by a new club member who has purchased "Hayfever" another Rover powered car which apparantly used to run in Pro ET at the 'Pod running mid 9's ;)

Al

Hi Al,

Competition is good, bring it on, we might even get out of research mode and back into racing. Nothing like traction control planned. Just might need a breathing mask on the startline because of the exhaust fumes  More in a bit!

Finally a member of the forums so let me introduce our car which we are hoping to get to York for Easter for its first runs however for now we will only be doing RWYB until we are happy. The car is normally aspirated 4.5 litre rover V8 running pump gas, in its former life it ran with the name ‘Hayfever’ and at the Pod it ran in the 9 seconds but has not been run for 8 years. We have smaller aspirations and hope to run regular 11’s and maybe into the 10’s when we get better. Here are some photos of when it first arrived it was a bit dusty and oily but after a good rub down it looked like this.

Now it looks like this

the weather has really stopped any major progress but we should be there for Easter. Look forward to seeing you all and have a good un. Nik.

Also looking for some slicks does anyone have any good contacts thanks.
